Do we want to have a dueling prophets war?

Every year millions of selfproclaimed prophets make claims. And every year some of these predictions come true but most do not. It's not a prophecy. Its called odds.

Its particularly useful for prophecies to not be specific. Leave the date open. Leave the year open. Leave some opening and you can always claim it hasn't happened yet. Then when something does happen you can claim thats what you meant. It's sort of like shooting a gun and then painting a bullseye around the bullethole.

This is not to say that this pastor is pulling a con. He may very well believe in his ability. But people have fooled themselves before.

Consider this. If God is telling this pastor of things to come why does he not choose a more efficacious route to get his message out. If he is truly concerned why not controviene the airwaves and simply tell everyone to cut it out. The notion that God is choosing to provide such critical information to a such a limited audience creates a serious doubt about its varacity.
