9. They don't make money; they increase their debt
and THINK it's more of their money for spending.

Here's a prime example: A former colleague, staunch Republican, 'owns' her own 'business' which she 'operates' in the basement of our house. (Nothing wrong with all of those things, but the details of all of that are for another day.) Last year, she traded in her 3 year old car for the latest model. She made the decision when she took the 3yo car in for regular maintenance. On a whim.

You see, business was not going too well for quite a while. She'd cut her one and only full-time employee already because she could no longer afford it. Her credit cards were getting maxed out. So, "to save money" she traded in the 3yo and bought a new one...because it would lower her payments. :crazy: Never mind that she was throwing away 3 years of payments to sign up for 4 MORE years of payments and increased her debt. But hey! She paying less now!
