Andy's situation is just one angle for looking at bullies.
I believe that Progressives generally are irresistible targets for bullies. As you've posted, you see yourself having 90% of the qualities of the people they go after.

Bullies are opportunistic cowards, not unlike mean kids on a playground, who look for those who "won't hit back."

I really recommend going to the actual website, BullyOnLine.org. because there is a wealth of information that's truly eye-opening.
