the Silverado I think that credit union was called.

A bunch of phoney business loans to companies that then diverted the cash someplace else, then defaulted on the bogus unsecured business loans. It's a old shell game played by carnival con men from the days before FDR put the screws to con men in pinstripped suits. The Feds had to jump in and bail the S & L's out. It was the result of Reagan's and the Republicans 'deregulation' of the savings/banking industry. You know, government regulation and oversight is bad and competition is good routine.

And right in the center of it all, is another Bu$h. The whole bunch of them are thugs and crooks.
