Progressive Paralegal in Red State needs Job in Blue!
Advertisements [?]
Dear fellow DU-ers,

I am a progressive-minded paralegal who lost my job today. (Maybe because I'm a Leftie who listens to progressive radio at work??? *shrug*) I live in Mississippi, among the reddest of red states, and needless to say, am not philosophically suited to the area. I would love to get a job in a blue(r) state out there, so if any of you are lawyers, or in the legal field, or even in the political field, and know of any openings out there, I'd much appreciate a pointer. Honestly, I'd rather work in politics and work for "the cause" than be a paralegal, but I also have to pay the bills... I have a college degree (Sociology), my paralegal certificate, a year's worth of work experience in the field, and am an excellent writer.

Any help is much appreciated. Please send me DU-mail for giving any specific, identifying info. Thanks.
