10. They don't like paying living wages and benefits. It cuts into
their profits. Ever since the days of slavery the business mantra has always been to pay whatever the worker will take, even if it's starvation wages. They consider it the worker's problem to individually bargain for a better wage. Of course this doesn't work very well.

If a union barters for a group of workers, then this is a lot scarier for the employer cause they can afford to lose one worker but not a whole shop of workers.

We really need to get back to the days of strong unions.
