Never enough to help them.
Never enough to promise his empty promises.
Never enough to say he wishes he had more NG there and would NOT have sent them if he knew what he knew now, then.
Never enough to say he would NOT cut their funding for protection against this exact type of disaster, if he knew what he knew now, then.

We all know above all, he would NEVER apologize that his decisions effected their very lives so tragically.

Let him go... he will bury himself. Maybe not in the damn dirty and disease ridden waters, but nonetheless he will bury himself in the truth that so obviously escapes him. More people will see him who for who he truly is.
