3. There is widespread agreement in the scientific community
that global warming is occuring. It is not rocket science, or even complicated- human beings have increased CO2 levels by massive amounts in the past 100 years. CO2 is a greenhouse gas (Look at Venus, where surface temperatures are 800 degrees, even though the planet itself is only about 1/3 closer to the sun than the Earth is) and the mechanism by which it lets in light and traps heat is well understood.

There is no "debate" in the scientific community over global warming just like there is no "debate" over evolution. With global warming you have a few paid oil industry shills constantly saying "it needs more study", with Evolution you have theocrats and right-wingers trying to peddle bullshit like "intelligent design" off as legitimate science, which it isn't.

Global Warming is real, and it is happening right now.
