They didn't really believe in peace, tolerance, or love... They looked down on those who didn't dress or think as they did. This boomer-centric ethos manifested itself in the 80's when they quickly sold out and became yuppies.

The ones who didn't become Repukes are just as humorless and sanctimonious as ever, with the same bad hygiene and scolding disposition.

And yes, I loved the irony of your post.
