3. I believe Tamiflu is supposed to work most of the time.
But it's expensive and all of the other countries that really care about their citizens have already bought up pretty much the entire supply. This process has been going on for over a year. This gov't purchased enough for a few million citizens.

Also, it might not happen at all. And then there's a cost-benefit equation to apply when something expensive, and needing to be purchased well in advance, may not get used at all. Think about this in the context of Katrina.

Bottom-line: It may or may not materialize. If it does this country is fucked. If it doesn't we've saved alot of money but taken a damn big chance.
