28. They are molecularly identical
Marinol is synthetic THC and it is molecularly identical to natural THC the same way the synthetic heroin in Oxycotin is identical to natural heroin.

The problem with Marinol is that THC overloads the cannabinoid receptors and it can be very hard to deal with. That is why many people will swear by cannabis and badmouth their prescription Marinol. Cannabis with its other cannabinoids acts to block some receptors so that the experience is not overwhelming.
