I believe one of the issues the Republicans are always hammering on is that Dems/Liberals spend the taxpayers money like mad dogs and we are creating a welfare state. We want to give everything away and have everyone not working and just sitting around collecting from the government. Nothing is further from the truth but this tactic scares many people. The Dems have to deflate this image because it is certainly far from the truth. They have to keep stating they want good paying jobs for the people, health care for everyone and good schools for the children, keeping Social Security intact, protecting the environment and our parks and wildlife etc. and no corporate welfare.
