60. Bingo......
Sovereignty is what the debate is about now, not drugs. The Canadian government is under a great deal of pressure from their citizens to keep Emery in the country, and from the DEA to lay down and let Emery be extradited. Recently, Emery has been trying to hammer out a deal in which he'll plead guilty to Canadian charges and thusly avoid a possible life sentence here in the US. The DEA, to say the least, is not pleased with this prospect.

Thing is, Emery has been totally above boards about his sale of seeds. He admits to it freely and says that that Canadian govt has joyfully accepted taxes from the income from his seed sales. And Emery has not lived large on the profits he's garnered from his commercial activities. He's dumped almost all the profits he's made back into political parties and candidates that support legalization of MJ, in Canada as well as here in the US. Marc has none of the trappings of a drug kingpin. He has no car, he lives in a modest apartment in what is considered to be the "bad" part of Vancouver, and only takes a pittance of a salary.

PS: Thanks for the pic ID. I thought it looked familiar.
