Wilson said something to the effect that

Cheney wanted the CIA to send someone

to check out the Niger connection and BushBots keep saying that Wilson said that

Cheney wanted the CIA to send him (JoeWilson)

Wilson's other "lie" is about the fact that Wilson says that his wife told her employers, the CIA, that he - her husband - has the expertise and was available for the Niger trip, and the CIA took that recommendation, presumably along with any others they had, and subsequently hired Wilson, without Valerie Wilson being involved in the actual hiring decision. BushBots are saying

Valerie Wilson hired her own husband.

And CIA HR professionals are saying

Valerie Wilson didn't hire Joe Wilson, CIA human resource professionals hired him.

VW did not participate in the final decision of whom to hire. She only referred her husband to them.
