1. Well, Wilma was a weird storm
It appears that the State put all their resources into the west coast (Keys up to Ft. Myers). Normally a storm like that is gonna make landfall and weaken by the time it hits the other side of the state. But Wilma was moving so fast that it didn't weaken at all going over the Everglades. That's why you had power back up in Naples in 2 days, but barely any crews at all working in Ft. Lauderdale. But, with all that said, the state did a better job with the 4 storms last year than it did this year.
