The issue isnt over Dean "assisting the Abenaki on cultural and ancestral burial issues" (although St. Francis also said he believed Dean gave them funding for the museum because of the possibility of Tourism revenue), but the fact that he blocked their request of being recognized as a soverign people by the state because of the legal implications resulting in land claims and gaming licenses.
