29. FEAR THE FRO!
Here are some interesting facts:

Coach Larry Brown is the first skipper to win championships in the NCAA and NBA.

Coach Brown is the oldest person ever to win a NBA championship.

Team owner Bill Davidson also owns the Stanley Cup champion Tampa Bay Lightning and the WNBA champion Detroit Shock. I guess my incessant bitching about owners having teams in more than one sport (mostly directed at Mike Illitch) will have a rest tonight.

Bill Laimbeer, the former Piston big guy from the “Bad Boys” days, is the coach of the Detroit Shock.

This is the Pistons third championship—the first in 14 years. They won it with heart and defense. Let me repeat myself: They won it with heart and defense, pure and simple.

Shaq has got to be the worst superstar free throw shooter I have ever seen. (Sorry, my niece shot 78% the line in college. But then again, I think the women are purer shooters anyway.)

Finally, I did not expect such a blowout in the last game. Someone on another board was right when he said we should watch the Lakers being scattered in the wind after it’s all over.

I am hoisting a Guinness lads and lassies. Nuff said.

Peace, out.
