6. I love Monty Python
but the reason I voted "other" was because the very first time I saw the show I'd seen the TV Guide listing for "Monty Python and his Flying Circus" and kept on waiting and waiting for the circus part.

The other day on the radio I heard someone say that the first time he saw a listing for Simon and Garfunkel on the Tonight Show, he assumed that with a name like that it would be a comedy duo. And of course, when they walked on stage, one with his frizzy hair, the other short and wearing a striped shirt, he was certain he was in for a jolly laugh or two, especially when they'd be performing something called "The Sounds of Silence". He said it took him a long time to realize it was really a legitimate, non-funny singing act.
