That's the struggle you now face. You have to have the will to say NO each and every time, from now on, and it will wear on you. That is the commitment you have to make and keep.

The hardest part is going to be the sudden, intense "Who do they think they are telling me I can't drink!" rage impulse moments that are going to jump out at you just after you've said no. At that moment you're going to go through heaven and hell trying to justify picking that glass up, so that's the moment you must prepare for. "Just say no" won't be enough then. You're going to have to have a friend beside you to help you through it.

I've been there. I've said NO one drink at a time for the past twenty three years.

Strength, my friend. "Good luck" won't cut it now.
