Great "other guys" in famous bands.

It's a rare band that can be famous enough to have each member's name scarred onto the collective mind of society. The only band that comes close to that is, of course, the Beatles. Johnlennonpaulmccartneygeorgeharrisonringostarr is known even to the least enthusiastic music fan. It's almost like it's a priori knowledge, something we know before we are born. But every other band in the world will never be anywhere as universally known as the Beatles. Usually one can name one or two members, but rarely the whole group. But what is often forgotten is that the "other guys" form the platform from which the idols launch into superstardom. So let's hear it for the great other guys in rock history!

Charlie Watts, Ron Wood, Bill Wyman, Brian Jones (the Rolling Stones at different times)

Paul Simonon and Topper Headon (the Clash)

Andy Rourke and Mike Joyce (the Smiths)

Larry Mullins and Adam Clayton (U2)

Okay. I'm out of ideas. Add your own pick. You don't necessarily have to like the band.
