In 1971 I was living in Washington DC. Will was a baby. I was working and he was in daycare. His father was working for the democratic national committee...at Watergate.

I went to the dentist one day and on my way back to work I was stopped at a light right near the Washinbgton Monumant. The light turned green and I started into the intersection. A woman coming from my left didn't see her red light and broadsided me. The impact pushed my car into the car the was parallel to me. That car (I found out later) contained FBI agents.

A few days later, the manager of the apartment complex we lived in asked me why there were FBI agents around asking questions about me. A day or so after that, I got a telephone call from the FBI Agent investigating the accident...his only line of questioning was why I had my small baby in daycare. Not long after that we found out that Will's dad was on the Watergate tapes. Yup, I've got a file, I'm sure and I'm sure Will has one and his father too. Nice country.
