18. I did....

It was my 1st marriage, back in 1975. She was successful in business so it made sense for her to keep her name. So what I did was hyphenate my name with hers (legally changed it), and when we married she assumed my (new) name. Guys at work made fun of me for a day or two, but eventually it became a non-issue.

The eventual custody fight was only over the hyphen...
