1. They embarass their father, mostly in harmless ways
2. Laura really IS beautiful
3. They add a touch of Humanity and normality to an otherwise evil and sociopathic family
4. And after all, they didn't choose their parents. As spoiled brats go I think they're relatively decent ones.
5. Of course, I'd rather spend an evening with Chelsea Clinton, who would be interesting good company even if I were sober :-)
