Its really hard to raise children the way you planned to. And I agree, Tom Cruise is pretty much getting it from every angle for the Scientology thing.

There are plenty of groups which tend towards isolation, but at least mainstream Catholicism isn't one of them.

As I understand it Tom and Nicole agreed to joint custody, 6 months out of the year with her, 6 months with him. Apparently his sisters are doing the lions share of the child care when the children are with him and Nicole has no say as to what goes on when they are there.
Scientology 6 months out of the year and Catholicism the other 6 months. Those aren't even in the same ball park. Its got to be very confusing for the children until they are old enough to decide for themselves.

I have a relative who has the following situation- kids are Catholic one weekend, Pentecostal the next, had to be sorted out by lawyers. I won't be surprised at all if the children decide not to go to church at all when they are old enough.
