She told me that while Feline Rescue always has a lot of kittens, they are always in demand. Nice older cats just sit and wait. My cat-to-be has been in foster homes for over a year and I was the first person who called about him, which was so sad. :cry:

That made me more determined to take him. He's happy in his foster home, but he deserves a permanent person. The foster said she'd have taken him except that her own cat is a dominant alpha cat and chases poor Poppy/Rumpole around and scares him.

He will be my only pet and king of my (his?) house.
