He is very handsome. I'm sure he'll be appreciative of the nice home you'll give him.
I adopted an adult cat and it took him a little while to adjust. At odd times, he would just mew and mew. I would ask him what's wrong and talk to him but there was no connection. About a week after I brought him home, I was taking a bath and he started mewing loudly. I didn't want to get out of the tub, so I just mewed back to let him know where I was and that I had heard him. He mewed again and I mewed back as close to what he said as I could. We went back and forth like that for quite a while with me trying to imitate him as well as I could. He loved it -- he started walking about the tub and butting me with his head. Somehow this mewing back and forth helped him connect with me. You might want to try it, if your new addition starts to talk to you.
