16. I'm courteous, I take my hat off indoors ESPECIALLY in restaurants,
I chew with my mouth closed, I don't talk with food in my mouth, I don't chew gum when human beings are present, I send handwritten thank you notes, I don't play my music loud enough for other people to hear, I wear only black suits to funerals and wear somber and appropriate suits to weddings unless they're casual weddings, I don't wear short-sleeve "dress" shirts since no such thing exists, I wear only long-sleeve dress shirts and only with french cuffs because I respect other people and feel they shouldn't be forced to look at shitty stuff like buttons on a sleeve cuff; I hold doors open for ladies; I say "sir" and "ma'am", even to waitstaff and my inferiors; I am offended when sales people call me by my first name, I prefer to be addressed by my title, or at least Mr. (lastname); I don't vote for politicians whose sole purpose is to wreck the lives of the majority of people; I believe, as a gentleman, that my duty in life is make other people be at ease and comfortable and NOT focus on my needs.
