6. New Orleans: now and forever!
The city as a whole is perhaps more DLC-like than truly progressive, however entire neighborhoods including the lower Quarter, Faubourg Marigny, Bywater, Faubourg St. John and Carrollton (near Tulane and Loyola) are progressive and, taken all together, would constitute a decent-sized town all by themselves.

One can also easily imagine a righteous anger rising in hitherto politically apathetic areas such as New Orleans East and the iconic Lower Ninth Ward as well.
