'Love Monkey' lads show promise in quest for sex and next big thing

Love Monkey: Drama, 10 p.m. Tuesdays, CBS.

If you didn't already know that the new CBS series "Love Monkey" was based on a popular "guy-lit" novel by Kyle Smith, you might optimistically (and accurately) think it's a pretty impressive American TV knockoff of Nick Hornby's "High Fidelity."
Not bad, that.

It certainly beats being called the male version of "Sex and the City," as tiring a comparison as one can make with such little effort.

Like enduring this insufferable twit's "acting" for like 18 years on Beverly Hills, 90210 wasn't enough torture?

Next they'll give Tori Spelling something to do besides bad Lifetime "Woman in Crisis" flicks...

And yes, I used to watch 90210. First of all, I was living in Japan, and there were very few American shows broadcast in English, and second, when it comes to ultra-ultra-bad TV, I have a masochistic streak, and 90210 reached new levels of bad every week.
