19. It's been harder the last few years, for some reason.
I love going to the movies and have many happy memories of seeing films (recent and vintage) at the student union in college. During the '90s I spent a lot of time seeing free previews, independent films, mainstream fare, and so forth. I remember getting in lines that ran around the block for things like The English Patient and Apollo 13.

For the last few years, though, it's been harder for me to regard most of what I see as anything better than average. Some of it has been downright disappointing.

Films like Junebug, Nine Lives, and Brokeback Mountain made me hope the tide is turning.
