19. I dunno if this would be a permanent band, but:
I always wanted to be filthy rich so I could produce unbelievable recording sessions. And the one I had in mind for the longest time went something like this:

Guitar: Robert Fripp (King Crimson)
Bass: Janik Top (Magma)
Drums: Jerome Cooper (Revolutionary Ensemble and other free jazz)
Saxophones: Anthony Braxton

It would be the ultimate weedy-intellectuals-with-glasses band, all about weird tonalities and odd time signatures, and I figured even if they didn't get along musically they could have one hell of a chess tournament.

Sometimes what you want to hear happens anyway. Once upon a time, the composing bass player from Henry Cow, my then favorite band, came over from England to Woodstock NY and recorded an album at Michael Mantler and Carla Bley's studio, using them and some of their friends, and the words were written by one of my favorite songwriters on earth. The record was called Kew. Rhone. (the periods are part of the title) and I was obsessed with that record for one terrific year.
