72. I dive into a book with all my being.
I swim in it. I DROWN in it. While I'm reading a good novel the rest of the universe slows to a stop and fades from existence.

I was born with a sci fi book in my hands, and I've been reading since then. While in school I used to read a novel a day. I loved books so much I became a student librarian in Jr. High school just so I could browse the library at will.

I still love books, but find myself not reading nearly as much as I used to- too much to do in the real world, sad to say. I DO keep a novel in my car- I've always loved to read while eating, thus when I eat out I have a novel to peruse while pigging out.

I pity those who don't understand the allure of books. They simply do not comprehend what they are lacking, and it's impossible to explain it to them.
