Ever wonder why some middle eastern communities require women to wear full body covering while in public? You can't desire what you can't see. In some spiritual traditions, thoughts are understood to be things, so the reduction of temptation to even adulterous thought is a good thing.

On the reverse, men aren't the beautiful half of the species, so we don't need to be covered to reduce causing temptation.
