109. Sexism.
I'm trained in classical music, over ten years of lessons on each of two instruments, and knew some guys in a college rock band and wanted to jam with them. So we went to a practice room and I jammed with them on the piano. They said "Oh we think you are great, but we can't offend the (male) piano player's ego". This was in the early 80s when they were playing Echo Beach by Martha and The Muffins. I was pissed.

The first time I saw a woman playing an instrument in a rock band on TV was when I saw Tina Weymouth of Talking Heads playing bass, probably on SNL. I was amazed.
That was in the mid 70s when I was in college.

Women are supposed to look good and sing. If they play instruments, at least when I was looking for a rock band, the guys don't want them.
