But first, a beef...

Original bridge:

So I saw the new Trek movie trailer yesterday (attached to Quantum of Solace, first it's been out. It's not even online (officially) until Monday 1pm).

OK, I understand them updating the interior of the ship, since it's not 1966 anymore...

but the bridge is too freaking white. Blinding, even.

Would it have been so bad to keep the red handrails?

Would it have been so bad to keep the black control panels?

Would it have been so bad to keep the red turbolift doors?

Does everything have to be so freaking white? Could we have a little more homage to the original show?

At least they didn't mess with the Enterprise exterior much. Although it looks like thrust is coming out of...the shuttlecraft hangar deck? Either that, or really really REALLY bright blue landing lights.

Bad copy of the trailer here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lDhBMbX7a8c

New cast vs old here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sjTepuw4CwQ&feature=related
