3. You probably had sleep paralysis. I've had sleep paralysis.
It can be scary. I was sleeping face down on the couch one night. I thought my cat was sleeping on the back of my neck and that she was suffocating me. She was nowhere near me. It was a dream.

When I was a bit more awake, I called my dog and yelled for help. I'm not sure why. She started barking and then I woke up for good.

This can be very confusing and frightening, even if you do not have weird TV on in the background.

Sleep paralysis is a strange phenomenon. I can't remember having it since that time. I hope you don't have it again, or if you do, you know what is happening!
