13. I first noticed it in the 1980s
and I was furious when many Dems, instead of coming right back with, "Damn right we're liberal--and proud of it!" cringed and backpedalled as if to say, "Liberals? Where? Nobody here but us moderates!"

As the saying goes, "If you don't respect yourself, no one else will."
