1. Hubby works for AMAT this is all good news. Even the San Jose school district
just annouce3d a joint project to fund a big solar conversion project in the district. There is currently a solar competition involving university engineering students at 20 selected universities(MIT) to build a solar powered house:

SCU engineer students creating energy efficient features for Solar Decathlon house

CBS5 July 20, 2007. From an air conditioner that runs on hot water to self-tinting windows, SCU engineer students are paying close attention to detail in the construction of a solar powered house.
