What aerodynamic principle are you invoking with your assertion that "surely" there would be some plane debris visible?

The 180,000 lb aircraft were traveling at many hundreds of miles per hour, had a thin facade of steel supports and glass to penetrate with nothing after that but cubicle walls and desks and such until it hit the core or exited out the opposite corner of the building.

Again, what principle are you thinking of where "surely" there would be plane debris visible?
