The media doesn't talk about issues. I think both candidates talk about issues - Kerry in a much more substantial way. Cable media is lazy - it's easier to have spin masters do battle than do enough research to ask tough questions.

Chris Heinz talked about this issue at Carnegie Mellon in September. Here is a link to the video for those that are interested.
