I guess it is the goal of all good PR firms to get on the taxpayer's wallet....especially in places where John Kerry hangs out ....

The totally tone-deaf folks over at the Turnpike Authority always seem to think that if you hire enough public relations folks somehow things will get better. It must be beyond their powers of comprehension that somehow performance is what counts.

So the genuises did it again, this time hiring Alexandria, Va.-based Creative Response Concepts for a three-month ``interim'' deal at a cost of $75,000.

"For the first time in many a month we find ourself in agreement with Kerry spokesman David Wade who said, ``This is just the latest breathtakingly stupid decision by the Republicans in charge of the Big Dig.''

Wade also raised an interesting question: ``Will the taxpayers get a refund?''
