The Repubs have the power to appoint this guy and that is that. There is simply no effing way that the Dems can stop this confirmation. None whatsoever. They could force a filibuster, but they're not even going to do that. Count on it.

Discussing the merits of Mr. Roberts is just wasting time. He's going to be confirmed whether you like it or not. It is what it is.
