Good catch, Boss.

However, BFD if BurPers was 'tracking' the dead flies in the mess hall. The question always with anyone's awards is - did Murtha's decorations meet the criteria for award and were they approved by proper authority? If so and I'm sure they were, then yahoo's argument is with DOD, not Murtha. If he is what he says he is, then he knows damn good and well no body refuses a decoration. If his decorations didn't meet criteria, again his argument is with DOD or if Murtha is claiming one or more not properly awarded, then let's see his DD Form 214. If they're legal, they're on it.

As for yahoo's snotty remarks about Murtha feeding home town rag Boy's Life hero stories, pssst sir it was/is routine standard procedure for the Public Relations wonks to send blurbs to the media about anything and everything concerning a local boy/girl makes good, kills bad guys or breaks their stuff. Hell, we sent out news releases on Amn Johnny Hometower graduating from basic. A combat story was prime news.
