they'd be in for a shock when the bill arrived. The power company down there (can't think of it right now) raised it's rates by almost double saying, "hey, someones's got to pay for the rebuilding". My daughter was a Senior at Tulane, lived off Campus, (graduated in May) and when they returned for the Spring Semester this year they were shocked at how much the electric rates had risen. What can you do? You HAVE to pay it! :shrug:
It seems like the Feds could have helped out a little there. I know there's enough Corporate welfare as it is, but an entire electrical grid is off line here. It's not like they'd be doing it to improve shareholder value like the rest of their Corporate give-aways. When a Corporation and the people in a City REALLY need the Feds they're nowhere to be found. As usual. :grr:
