4. Well... you see...
When a company lays off thousands of people its stock goes up. When a company gets sued or or charged for violating workers rights, its stock price goes up. This is not to be confused with investing in something because one believes its a worthwhile business pursuit... only fools invest in anything because they believe in the product anymore. but if a company decides to lower the wages of all their employees, then THAT will get the attention of investors.
