17. No US soldier hung off choppers (except in a freep's wet dream)
Combat troops pulled out, in good order March 73 following the cease fire agreement. Only a few Marines and military advisers remained.

Those were civilians, mostly South Vietnamese, charging the choppers. The choppers were from off shore carriers; we were removing US civilians and South Vietnamese, most of whom worked for the US gov't. That was 29 Apr 75. The last American troops to die were two Marines when their evac chopper crashed 30 Apr 75.
