A fickle public, fateful times, and fluid strategies will make for a wild autumn-through-January.

Note the article this past week in the NYTimes on Obama's appearance in lower Manhattan. It had the feel of a truly historic high-voltage assertion of a convincing candidacy.

Dodd is well-funded and intelligent. Richardson has appeal and international chops.

Counting any of these five out right now is edgy, bordering IMO on foolhardy.
