That said, I wouldn't worry too much about it: my one *ignored* poster is a nasty serial liar with a huge fan club among the HRC boosters, but, like bullies everywhere, she is also a coward.

In point of fact, I haven't seen a single reply from *ignored* since I first posted the facts about this incident a few days ago, in the thread in question. A combination of DU's rules (which, from all I've seen, are quite fairly enforced), plus the knowledge that others who *don't* have her on ignore are looking out for me when it comes to such behavior and will *notify* me about it, seems to have put the squelch on her dishonest quasi-stalking.

It's the reason I'm personally a bit dubious about the *ignore* button - that episode gave me pause. Still, the *ignore* feature probably does a great deal more good than harm, and I hope my anecdotal experience doesn't discourage its use.
