38. I love it when Republicans assume the Democrat will lose!
It makes rubbing in the victory even more fun. I still remember when Clinton won in 92 a Republican friend admitted "I never thought he would win."

"That's not what you told me yesterday" I said.

"I just didn't want to let you down on election day" my friend announced...

But only since that election have I discovered how rabidly anti-Clinton and anti-Democratic he really is!


Last winter when I was planning to vote for Howard Dean, a different friend who was an independent asked me who I planned to vote for. I told him I planned to vote for Dean. He said that if he voted in the primaries he would vote for Kerry because he felt Kerry had the best shot of beating Bush. Now this independent is planning to vote for most of the Democrats on the ballot, including Kerry.
