36. I wonder if anyone who hated agirl
Understands the political context of her anger, as a transexual person, at this time in our lawmaking? She had every right to be pissed off, and anyone with a mind of anykind in her position would be insane with anger. The utter lack of out reach and empathy I found sickening.
I did not read all of her posts, and she was clearly on a full tilt jag, but all I'm saying is that if you were in those shoes, you'd probably also be losing it. The trans people got a very bad slap in the face, in part from the GLB portion of the GLBT community. Her anger was evident, but a lack of anger on her part would be far more indicitive of mental illness than righteous rage.
I really doubt very much that given the high level of the stakes, that Agirl give much of a rip what anyone here thinks, I doubt she cares if some felt insulted.
The problem with Democrats is we claim to empathize with the underdog and stand with the weaker of our people, when in fact we eat our own if they don't behave.
What did Malcolm X say again, 'By any means that does not bother the oppessing group?' No, that is not right.
Here's what Susan B said:
"Cautious, careful people, always casting about to preserve their reputation or social standing never can bring about reform. Those who are really in earnest are willing to be anything or nothing in the world's estimation, and publicly and privately, in season and out, avow their sympathies with despised ideas, and bear the consequences." -- Susan B. Anthony

Something to think about. Susan B would have been T'stoned, and Malcolm too.
